Man threatened with knife during bike robbery in Bromborough


Merseyside Police is appealing for information following a robbery of a bike in Bromborough on Wednesday 5 January.

At around 4.15pm, police received a report that a man cycling along Stadium Road (at the back of Croft business park), in the direction of Eastham Village was approached by two male suspects on motorbike.

It was reported that the suspects threatened the victim with a knife and stole his pedal bicycle.

The suspects were then reported to have made off on the motorbike towards the Birkenhead tunnel.

No injuries were reported and no weapon was seen.

The mountain bike stolen is described as a black and blue Cube Stereo 29er.

CCTV and witness enquiries to locate the suspects are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police.

Detective Inspector Phil Ryan said, “This was a disgraceful incident and we are working to find the persons responsible and remove them from our streets.,

“Similarly if you were driving in the area and have dashcam footage, please review it and if you see anything, get in touch. Information you hold could be vital to our enquiries.
