Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the leg on Europa Boulevard in Birkenhead this afternoon, Wednesday 21 September.
At around 3.40pm it was reported that four males opened a car door and slashed the victim in the leg. The four suspects made off in a dark-coloured Ford Focus towards Conway Park.
It is believed this was a targeted attack. The victim is receiving treatment for his injury by paramedics.
Officers are currently at the scene and an investigation is now underway including witness, CCTV, and forensic enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
Detective Inspector Ruth Tickle said, “Enquiries are in the very early stages to establish what has taken place.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Europa Boulevard by the college and at around 3.30pm onwards this afternoon and seen or heard anything to come forward and speak to us.
“I would appeal for residents in the area to check your CCTV, dashcam and doorbell footage to see if it has captured any footage as it may help with the investigation.”
