Man sought in connection with Old Swan burglaries

Merseyside Police has issued a CCTV image of a man who may have information to assist enquiries into reports of burglaries in Old Swan in September.

It was reported on Thursday 29 September that a man had been trying front door handles of several homes overnight in the Rossall Road area.

He gained entry into two homes, taking a school backpack, bank cards and car keys.

If you are the man pictured in this image, or know who he is, please get in touch with Merseyside Police as they believe he could have information to help the ongoing investigation.

Detective Constable Sam Jennings said, “We believe this was an opportunist burglar who was trying his luck to see if he could open the front door of several houses in the area.

“If you are the man pictured, or you recognise him, please get in touch because we believe he has information that will help our investigation.

“Burglaries can have a massive impact on the person and families affected as they have had their home invaded which is an awful experience to go through, and can often have a long-lasting impact on victims.

“We encourage people to come forward if you know anything about a burglary or someone acting suspicious in your area, either directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers. We act on all information provided.”

If you recognise the man pictured or have any information about this incident, contact Merseyside Police at @MerPolCC or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with reference 22000721225.
