Man sought after teenager assaulted on train

British Transport Police officers have today issued an image following an assault on a teenager travelling on a train between New Brighton and Liverpool Central stations.

The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Saturday 27 May, when a man dragged a young boy down the aisle by his hood before throwing him to the floor and kicking him.

Detectives would like to speak to the man in the image who they believe may have information that could help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 296 of 27/05/2023.
