Man set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court following stabbing at Wirral railway station

A man has been charged following a stabbing at Hamilton Square railway station on Wednesday, 8 May.

Officers were called to Hamilton Square station at 3.07pm on 8 May to reports of a stabbing.

British Transport Police officers attended alongside North West Ambulance Service paramedics and one person was taken to hospital.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

British Transport Police said Thomas Randles, aged 18, of Old Chester Road, Wirral, was charged with GBH with intent and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

Randles is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 7 June.
