Man seriously injured in road collision in Belle Vale

Merseyside Police is continuing to appeal for information following a fail-to-stop road collision in Belle Vale, which resulted in a pedestrian sustaining serious injuries.

At around 9.20pm on Tuesday, 31 October, it was reported that a car being driven on Naylorsfield Drive was involved in a collision with a male pedestrian aged in his 60s.

Emergency services attended the incident and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his hip, ribs and face. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

Since the collision, house-to-house and CCTV enquiries have been carried out and our investigation is ongoing to identify and locate the driver.

Police are appealing for anyone who has any information to please come forward.

Roads Policing Constable Louis Manning said, “We are determined to find the person who was driving this vehicle and if you have any information or CCTV or dashcam footage, please let us know.

“This was a serious collision that has left a pedestrian in hospital with serious injuries and efforts are ongoing to identify and locate the driver.”
