Man robbed by ‘cowardly males’ in Chavasse Park

Detectives have issued CCTV images of a group of males who could assist with their enquiries following of a report of a robbery in Liverpool city centre.

At around 5pm on Thursday 15 June it was reported that an 18-year-old man was approached by a group of males on Chavasse Park, above the Bierkeller bar.

They threatened him and told him to hand over the contents of his bag because they were in possession of a knife.

The group of males took cash from the bag and fled the area on foot towards Duke Street.

Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted, and officers have issued CCTV images of four males they believe could assist in their investigation.

Detective Inspector Chris Carlin said, “This robbery was carried out by a group of cowardly males and we are determined to find them to get justice for the young man.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we hope that the CCTV images can assist our investigation.

“We believe the males pictured could have information. If you recognise any of them, please get in touch.

“Similarly, if you saw the incident on Thursday evening, please contact police as soon as possible.”
