A 22-year-old man from Ellesmere Port has been jailed after admitting dealing drugs.
Kyle Williams, of Ellesmere Port appeared at Chester Crown Court on 24 November and pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs (cocaine) between 18 March 2022 and 7 October 2022.
He was sentenced to 45 months in prison for the drugs offence and three weeks custodial, to run concurrently, for resisting a constable in the execution of his duty.
Police intelligence identified that Williams was offering high-quality cocaine to local customers using a mobile phone.
On 7 October Williams was arrested at a café in Station Road, Ellesmere Port after being spotted by a local officer.
Williams tried to lash out and flee but officers managed to complete the arrest and seized a mobile phone from him.
His phone was confirmed as a drugs phone, and he was subsequently charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
DC Stuart Wood said, “I’d like to thank the officers and colleagues involved in this case as together we have taken another dealer off the streets, thwarting the sale of class A drugs in Ellesmere Port.
“We will continue in our fight against illegal drugs and would urge anyone who has any information on illegal drugs to contact police.”
