Man in court charged with drugs offences

A man has been charged with drugs offences following two warrants in Kirkdale yesterday (Monday 18 July).

The warrants form part of an investigation into the supply of drugs from Kirkdale into Wirral by officers from Merseyside Police’s County Lines Team, Project Medusa.

A man was detained at one of the properties and at the second, a car was searched on the driveway and found to contain a large quantity of cash and thousands of wraps of white powder, suspected to be cocaine.

The powder has been sent for forensic examination.

Thomas Crawford, 28 years, of Speke was arrested and later charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug (cocaine) and Class B drug (ketamine), and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.

He was remanded into custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 19 July).
