Man in 60s taken to hospital following bus collision

Merseyside Police is appealing for information following a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus in Bootle today, Monday 3 April.

At around 10.20am, it was reported that a pedestrian in his 60s had been involved in a collision with a bus on Stanley Road.

The pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not life-threatening.

The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries. 

Stanley Road and Marsh Lane up to Merton Road are currently closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Police have asked that drivers avoid the area and find an alternative route.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
