Late last night, a man purposefully jumped in front of a moving car twice, forcing the vehicle to brake and swerve to avoid hitting him.
The two women occupants of the car were said to be “shaken up” by the ordeal, in which the man not only twice jumped in front of the car, but became abusive, shouting and attempting to open the cars locked doors.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said, “At 11.50pm yesterday we received a report that a man had stepped in front of a car on Whetstone Lane/Church Road forcing the driver to brake.
“A collision was avoided but the man stepped in front of the car again forcing the car to stop.
“He then shouted at the occupants, tried the locked door handle and then hit the car window as it was being driven away.”
