Emergency services were in attendance at Rodney Street, Birkenhead yesterday, Wednesday 3 March.
At around 4.30pm police received reports of a 26-year-old male with a stab wound to the stomach at a property on Rodney Street, Birkenhead.
The male has been taken to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
A knife has been recovered by police.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Yesterday, Detective Inspector Matt Caton said, “We are in the very early stages of an investigation following the incident this afternoon, and I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the Rodney Street area at the time with any information to please get in touch.”
