A 28-year-old man from St Helens has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Ashley Dale in Old Swan.
Ian Fitzgibbon was extradited, with the support of the NCA’s National Extradition Unit, from Spain this afternoon (Thursday, 24 August) on a Trade and Co-operation agreement after being arrested by the Spanish National Police.
He has been charged with the murder of Ashley Dale on 21 August 2022 and conspiracy to murder Lee Harrison.
He has further been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, namely a Skorpion sub machine gun pistol and associated ammunition with intent to endanger life, and conspiracy to possess a prohibited weapon namely a Skorpion sub machine gun and associated ammunition.
He will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday, 25 August.
