Man dies following Heswall car and motorcycle collision

Merseyside Police has confirmed that a man has sadly passed away following a collision in Heswall yesterday, Monday 3 January.

At around 10.15am police received a report of a collision involving a silver Toyota Auris car and a red Honda motorcycle at the junction of Chester Road and Gayton Lane.

Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital where he later passed away as a result of his injuries. 

His next of kin have been informed. 

The male driver of the car was taken to hospital for minor injuries and is assisting police with enquiries.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
