A man has been charged with drug offences in Wirral.
Officers who are working on Operation Toxic/Project Medusa, which is part of Merseyside Police’s initiative to infiltrate County Lines drug dealings, arrested a man in Birkenhead on Thursday 12 January.
Liam Carson, 22, has been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs (heroin and crack cocaine), as well as possession of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis) and criminal damage.
Carson appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court today (Friday 13 January) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday 10 February.
Police have been carrying out extensive work in Wirral to disrupt criminality and protect those living in the area.
Since the murder of Elle Edwards on Christmas Eve, police have arrested several people and seized a significant amount of suspected Class A and B drugs as part of an operation targeting serious and organised crime across Wirral.
