Man charged with drug supply offences after car stopped in Allerton

Detectives have charged a man with drug supply offences after stopping a car in Allerton on Friday, 31 May.

At around midday, officers stopped a VW Golf at the junction of Dowsfield Road and Yewtree Road due to the driver exhibiting suspicious behaviour. 

The driver was detained and around £25k cash, a lock knife, and suspected heroin, crack cocaine, and amphetamines were seized. A further search of a house resulted in drugs, cash and other paraphernalia being seized.

Philip Hesketh, 53, of Everton, has now been charged with the following offences:

Possession with intent to supply heroin
Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine
Possession with intent to supply amphetamine
Acquire/use/possess criminal property
Possession of a knife blade/pointed article in a public place

Hesketh was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday, 3 June.
