Man charged in Leasowe murder case

Merseyside Police have tonight, Thursday 4 February, charged a 45 year-old man with the murder of 54 year-old Helen Joy.

A police statement says. “Helen’s body was discovered at a property in Twickenham Drive, Leasowe on Monday 1 February.

“Kevin Ashton, also of Twickenham Drive, was tonight charged with her murder.

“He has been remanded into custody to appear at Wirral magistrates court tomorrow, Friday 5 February.”
