Detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder and are continuing to appeal for information following a shooting in Moreton last Wednesday, 10 August.
At 11.15pm, it was reported shots had been fired in the direction of a house on Danger Lane. It was reported there were around four offenders on two motorbikes which then left the area.
There were no reports of anyone being injured.
Following enquiries, a 29-year-old man from Tranmere was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any information about what happened is asked to contact police.
Detective Inspector John Mullen from the Firearms Investigation Team said, “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident continue.
“We’re out talking to the community and gathering information so that the people responsible for this can be brought to justice, and remove from the streets weapons and those who would use them.
“If you happened to be driving in the area last Wednesday and have dashcam footage of anything suspicious, or any bikes riding in the area, please check and let us know if there is anything that may assist our enquiries, including CCTV or doorbell footage.”
