Man arrested for drug driving following Bromborough collision

A man has been arrested following a road traffic collision in Bromborough this morning, Monday 10 July.

Just before 7am, police received a report of a collision involving a Ford Mondeo being driven on Bromborough Village Road and a Yamaha motorbike.

The motorbike rider, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital with a serious leg injury.

A 30-year-old man from Woodchurch has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and is in police custody for questioning. 

Road closures were in place at the time of the incident and have now been reopened.

Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses, and for any CCTV and dash camera footage which may have captured the incident, to please get in touch to assist the investigation
