A man has been arrested following a two-car collision in Higher Bebington.
Merseyside Police, North West Ambulance Service, and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) were in attendance at the collision that happened at around 5.20pm on Thursday, 4 January.
The collision involved a VW Golf and a Mercedes being driven on Mount Road.
A MFRS spokesperson said, “Crews arrived to find one car with a passenger trapped by a seatbelt, the driver had been able to leave the vehicle without injury.
“The two occupants of the other vehicle involved were uninjured and able to leave their vehicle.
“After an assessment by North West Ambulance Service, fire crews were asked to remove the roof of the vehicle where the person was trapped.”
Merseyside Police said that a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
