Man arrested following serious collision in Woodchurch

A man has been arrested following a serious road traffic collision in Woodchurch.

At around 5pm on Monday, 18 December, Merseyside Police received a report of a collision on Hoole Road involving a red Ford Fiesta and a white Hyundai i10.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services safely removed a woman from the white Hyundaii10 who was taken to hospital for treatment.

Three boys who were also inside the same vehicle were taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries.

A 22-year-old man from Upton was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was taken to a police station in Merseyside where he remains in custody.

Hoole Road, Grasswood Road, Pemberton Road, and Ferny Brow Road were closed whilst CCTV enquiries were being carried out in the area.
