Man arrested and drugs seized in Croxteth

A man has been arrested following the seizure of suspected Class A drugs after a warrant was executed in Croxteth yesterday, Wednesday 27 July. 

At around 8.15am officers attended a house on Newlyn Road and conducted a search of the property and discovered a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs (cocaine) and money.

Designer clothing was found and has been seized.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B (cocaine and cannabis) with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property.

He has been released under investigation.

Community Inspector Sarah Rotherham said, “This arrest highlights that we will not tolerate drugs on our streets and we will take action to make our communities a safer place to live.

“I would urge people in our communities who have any information about who is supplying or selling drugs in their area to continue to support us and let us know so we can take action.”
