Striker Luke Norris arrived at Prenton Park today to help bolster the Rovers attack, arriving from newly promoted Stevenage.
An experienced Football League striker, Norris has mostly played his football down south, but now makes the move to the Wirral peninsula to become Ian Dawes’ fourth summer signing.
After missing the last few games of his previous club Stevenage’s promotion-winning campaign, he’s eager to break straight into the squad and perform for the Super White Army.
His new manager, Ian Dawes, said, “It’s such an important signing for us. He’s a player we’ve come across over the last three or four years, and he’s always been a striker I’ve admired, particularly when playing against us.
“He’s an all-round striker. He can hold the ball up, he competes well, works hard and scores a variety of goals.
“I think he’ll be an important signing for us and a focal point up front.”
On joining Tranmere, Norris added, “It feels really good. I’m really excited to get going. I had a few conversations with the staff around the Club’s plans, and having been part of a promotion-chasing side last year, it certainly has a similar feel.”
