Liverpool man charged with child sex offences

Merseyside Police has charged a 44-year-old Liverpool man with child sex offences.

Stephen Keenan was charged with six counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of making an indecent image of a child, one count of taking an indecent photograph of a child and one count of child abduction.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Sefton magistrates court this morning, Friday 12 August.

The case was adjourned and Keenan was remanded into custody to next appear in court on 9 September.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Parry said, “We take all reports of sexual offences very seriously and our specialist officers from the Unity team will support anyone who comes forward to speak to us.
