Complete Skills Solutions (CSS), a Liverpool-based adult training provider, has launched a brand-new apprenticeship programme.
The programme includes the introduction of two Business and Administration apprenticeship standards: Level 2 Recruitment Resourcer and Level 3 Recruitment Consultant.
There has been a huge emphasis placed on apprenticeships at Government level, as officials have urged employers to consider apprenticeships when recruiting. Apprenticeships offer an excellent way for employers to train and nurture talent from those entering the workplace to those already within their organisation.
Whilst the new apprenticeship programme is for recruitment-related qualifications, CSS has outlined that these roles will go a long way in supporting recruitment for struggling sectors, specifically the health and social care industry. Over the last several years, the health and social care sector has been crippled under growing pressure and workforce demand, and unsurprisingly it needs support to attract and recruit a great talent pool.
The two standards introduced under the programme cater to the needs of in-house recruitment teams and external agencies. Level 2 is ideal for organisations that operate an in-house recruitment function or operate in a role supplying staff to external organisations. Level 3 is aimed at recruiters who supply staff to external organisations, although it may be suitable for some in-house recruiters.
Both apprenticeships last approximately 12 months and learners will benefit from a blended learning approach that equips them with the skills, behaviours, and knowledge to progress into a career in recruitment.
Learners’ progression is managed through an intuitive e-portfolio and learner management platform, which will enable apprentices and managers to access and complete work with ease and flexibility.
Programme delivery comprises six elements: Coaching, Work Product/ Shadowing, one-to-one tutorials, Essential Skills (exam), Distance Learning/ Self-Study, and End-Point Assessment.
The introduction of the apprenticeship programme is the latest addition to CSS’s extensive training portfolio. Each new programme aims to provide learners with greater knowledge and understanding of their chosen industry, supporting them to secure great employment opportunities.
CSS’s Managing Director, Ian Green, said, “Apprenticeships play a vital role in the UK’s training and education landscape, providing individuals with the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge, and behaviours whilst earning a wage. They are an excellent way for employers to nurture home-grown talent from within, which is proven to boost retention rates.
“We have worked extremely hard to develop these new standards, drawing on subject experts’ and their wealth of industry knowledge to help shape our blended learning methodology.
“I am confident that our new apprenticeship programme will thrust CSS into a new arena of training and education and support us to deliver on our promise to help people secure great employment opportunities.”
CSS currently offers a variety of employer solutions, supporting organisations to identify great staff. The service includes fully funded training with the provider, and often, includes a guaranteed interview with employers at the end of the course.
CSS is a leading adult and education specialist organisation that supports individuals to access high-quality opportunities that help them progress into employment.
