Dear Editor,
I recently visited Royden Park when the Golf Open was on.
Considering how many visitors were in the area to witness this event, I was dismayed to visit the toilets open to visitors to this park.
I am so ashamed to think that we are expected to accept these facilities. The council spent a lot towards hosting the Open which was over in a week. This park is open throughout the year.
I took numerous photos as on the outside the council clearly are proud of an award given to the park. And I quote a Green Flag award 21/22.
Understanding money is an issue for the council but these toilets need sorting ASAP so we can all spend longer inside such a lovely park.
PLEASE LOOK FOR YOURSELVES
