Incredible video gives insight into Ellesmere Port history

Following the recent publication of their tenth local history book, the Ellesmere Port Local & Family History Society have just released a 15 minute animated film ‘Help Save Ellesmere Port’s History’ which covers the history of the Town from 1178 to the present day.

This remarkable film, created by Martin Moss of Dextra Visual working with Celia Webber (Hon. President and Founder of the Society) and Committee Member Paul Harrison, has been financed by a SpaceHive crowdfunding campaign and a substantial donation from Cheshire West and Chester Council.

One of the purposes of this video is to make local youngsters aware of the fascinating and diverse history the town holds in a more meaningful form.

The Ellesmere Port Family and History Society intend to distribute the video far and wide before the start of the new school year in September.

The Ellesmere Port Local & Family History Society would welcome interest from the sector to help put together an appropriate Education Pack to go with it.
