Merseyside Police is appealing for information after a fail to stop road traffic collision in Noctorum last night, Tuesday 7 September.
At around 7pm, emergency services were called to Naseby Close to reports of a collision involving a car and a 17-year-old boy. The boy was taken to hospital for assessment of serious arm and leg injuries. The drive made off without stopping at the scene.
At around 7.15pm, a red Ford Focus was found on fire at the junction of Boundary Road and Worcester Road. Enquiries are ongoing to determine whether this was the vehicle involved. Enquiries are ongoing, including CCTV.
Detective Inspector Barbara Hebden said, “At this stage, we are looking to confirm the exact circumstances, but to be involved in such a collision and fail to stop is appalling and we’re keen to identify the driver at the earliest opportunity.
“If you saw the collision or a car matching this description driving at speed in the area, pass on your information, CCTV, dashcam or any other images, which could prove invaluable to finding those responsible.”
