Height barrier at Fort Perch Rock Car Park

A new height barrier has been installed at Fort Perch Rock Car Park in New Brighton and comes into operation on 23 August.  The barrier will assist with managing parking at this location. 

The barrier has a height restriction of 2.2 meters and all vehicles below this height will be able to access the car park at any time.

Once the height barrier is locked in place it can be used to control the number of vehicles over this height and to help manage the parking provision in this area where there is often high demand for parking.

This work has been done in collaboration with stakeholders and partners who need regular access to the car park to ensure that there is no service disruption and access can be gained when required.
