Glen Affric Brewery Wins 7 Medals at World Beer Awards 2021

Glen Affric Brewery in Birkenhead has been awarded seven medals at the 2021 World Beer Awards, including two awards for Country’s Best:

Rutting Stag – UK’s Best (Amber)
Conquering Mountains – UK’s Best (Imperial/Double IPAA)
Forres Haze – Silver (IPA)
I Can’t Believe It’s NOT-Ella – Silver (Flavoured Stout/Porter)
Loch & Load – Silver (Classic Pilsner)
Forres Haze – Bronze (Milkshake/New England IPA)
Tart An Typhoon – Bronze (Flavoured Wild/Sour)

A representative from the brewery said that they were “thrilled with these results, especially to have received twoCountry’s Best medals for Rutting Stag – a favourite beer amongst many in the team – in the Amber category, and Conquering Mountains in the highly competitive Double IPA category.”

Both these beers will now go on to the next round of judging at the World Beer Awards in September, to hopefully win the title of World’s Best. A spokesperson for the brewery said, “And if we do win for either beer, that will mean we will have won a World’s Best title 3 years in a row!”

The World Beer Awards is one of the most coveted and prestigious awards in the industry, so to add seven more medals from this organisation to the brewery’s existing portfolio of awards (now 52 awards total) continues to solidify its position in the industry as a leader in producing world-class beers at affordable prices, including World’s Best Lager (2019) & World’s Best Pale Ale (2020).

The spokesperson thanked the team at Glen Affric Brewery by saying, “A huge congratulations are in order to our entire production, cellaring and packaging team for their stellar efforts in producing outstanding beers, consistently year on year.”
