Fundraising effort for audio-descriptive commentary at Prenton Park

Disabled Rovers, the group for disabled supporters of Tranmere Rovers and those who come with them, has set a fundraising objective of raising £4,000 over the course of the season to have audio-descriptive commentary installed at Prenton Park.

Ellis Palmer, Chair of the group, said, “This is something that is much-needed at Prenton Park. Getting audio-descriptive commentary installed will be of great benefit to our blind and visually-impaired fans, as well as those who have views obstructed by infrastructure by the stadium.

“The hope is that this could significantly improve the matchday experience of those  who currently struggle to enjoy matches at Birkenhead’s local club.”

It will be staffed by volunteers when it is set up, so if you’d like to get involved or maybe have a fundraising idea to help Disabled Rovers raise £4000 to get this installed, please do get in touch with the group by emailing
