Four arrested at Birkenhead for Class A drugs offences

Merseyside Police has said that four people have been arrested in the Birkenhead area for Class A drug offences regarding heroin and crack cocaine.

Two men were arrested yesterday (26 August) in Newling Street, Birkenhead, following a seizure of some drugs in an alleyway. Both arrested were concerned with the supply of Class A drugs. The two men remain in custody.

Another man was also arrested yesterday whilst on an electric bike, trying to evade officers. The man was found to be in possession of 66 wraps of crack cocaine, along with some heroin and cash. Wirral targeted officers patrol the park regularly thanks to concerns from the public being raised.

Yet another man, who is prohibited by Court order from drinking alcohol in public was arrested for breaching his Criminal Behaviour order and put before the Court. He was found to be in possession of heroin, which has been seized and he remains under Investigation for that offence.
