Former Tranmere player Alex Hay to run London Marathon for charity

Supporter and former Rovers player Alex Hay will be running the London Marathon this October to raise money for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

Cancer is something that so many people have been and are affected by on a daily basis, so Alex wants to do what he can to help those who need it.

He will be putting himself through an intense training build-up followed by a 26-mile marathon.

A club spokesperson said, “The SWA and wider community have already showed fantastic generosity to support the cause and we want to help Alex raise even more money.

“Times are hard for a lot of people currently so any donation is massively appreciated and will go a long way to helping Alex reach his goal and ultimately help those who need it most in such difficult circumstances.”
