Former Birkenhead office block set for apartments conversion

Hordan House, a former office building in Birkenhead, is set to be converted into 88 apartments.

The 1960s eight-storey office block at 35 Price Street was formerly occupied by the Department for Work and Pensions.

The purchase by residential developer Belgravia was completed on 13 June and planning application documents for the conversion were submitted to Wirral Council on 1 July. Work at the site is estimated to take 12 months.

Christopher Howell, CEO at Belgravia, said, “We are delighted to add Hordan House to our growing residential portfolio. We believe Birkenhead has huge potential and we are pleased to be a part of it.”
