Five people have been charged in connection to a large-scale fight in Birkenhead last year.
At around 4am on Sunday 6 November, police received a report of a fight on Conway Street between large groups of males, some using weapons.
The incident began when a group of males were gathered outside a bar and two individuals started fighting.
This has then escalated into a large-scale fight between several males and also a female.
During the incident, the female has been punched and knocked unconscious.
The males then made their way onto nearby Argyle Street, where the fighting continued.
Following the incident, Detective Sergeant Nick Glascott-Tull said, “This violent incident appears to have involved several people and we are determined to find those responsible and put them before the courts.
“To get involved in such violent scenes is completely unacceptable. Thankfully, we haven’t received any reports of anyone being seriously injured as a result of this incident.”
Following an extensive investigation, the following people have all been charged with affray:
- A 17-year-old male from Wallasey
- Ellis Price, 26, of Prenton
- Nyomi Mills, 22, of Prenton
- Reece Hegarty, 19, of Birkenhead
- Jordan Hawkins, 26, of Rock Ferry
They are due to appear at Wirral Magistrate’s Court on Monday 2 October.
