ASG Group, a collection of leading aerospace companies across seven sites, has said that it is “proud to embrace the values of International Women’s Day,” which is celebrated on 8 March.
Sasha Edge, Director of ASG AMF Engineering in Bromborough said, “The sector continues to lament the lack of skills in the industry coming through and the reality is, manufacturers need to do more to tap into the local talent pool and we’re making a strong call to action to talented individuals to seek an exciting career in the aerospace industry with a world-class employer.”
ASG Group acknowledges the significance of advocating for gender equality and women’s empowerment both inside and outside the workplace. To demonstrate its dedication to promoting diversity and inclusivity, the company has established several policies and programs that aid in the progression of women in the aerospace sector.
These include providing mentorship, training, and networking opportunities to encourage and support women pursuing careers in aerospace, maintaining gender balance in recruitment, selection, and promotion processes, eliminating gender prejudice and discrimination, and offering flexible working arrangements that enable women to manage their work and family responsibilities.
ASG Group recognises that there is still much work to be done to achieve gender equality and women’s empowerment, and is committed to working with its partners and stakeholders to promote this important goal.
ASG Group Managing Director, Simon Weston added, “We are proud to embrace the values of International Women’s Day and to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the aerospace industry.
“We believe that diversity and inclusivity are essential to our success as a company and as a society, and we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone has equal opportunities, rights, and freedoms.”
