Fire service cut woman from car at Bromborough following RTC

Emergency services were called to New Chester Road, Bromborough, yesterday, Monday 11 October following a road traffic collision between A Ford Fiesta and a Skoda Octavia.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) Crews were alerted at 12.03pm and on scene at 12.07pm. Two fire engines attended.

On arrival, MFRS crews found two vehicles had been involved in a collision. Both were on all four wheels.

The occupants of the first vehicle were already out when crews arrived. One person was trapped in the second vehicle.

A spokesperson for MFRS said, “Firefighters carried out a full roof removal of the vehicle and released the person using a longboard.

“They were handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service and taken to hospital for further treatment.”

Fire crews left the scene at 1.24pm.

A spokesperson for Merseyside POlice said, “We were called to reports of a two-car collision involving a Ford Fiesta and a Skoda Octavia on New Chester Road/Pool Lane at just after midday yesterday.

“The driver of the Skoda, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital with an arm injury.”
