Fire at Woodside Ferry Village

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) was in attendance at an incident at Woodside Ferry Village, Birkenhead last night, Wednesday, 5 July.

Crews were alerted at 7.59pm and on scene at 8.06pm. Two fire engines were on scene.

On arrival, firefighters found wooden huts well alight. Two firefighters in breathing apparatus (BA) were committed and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

MFRS left at 8.56pm.

In a statement, Woodside Ferry Village said, “We just want to make everyone aware, we are open as usual from 11 am, and our ‘Night of Gothica and Witchcraft’ market is still taking place today from 3 – 8 pm.”
