Welsh themed community lunch – cooking with fire

Explore the rich culture and history of Wales through food and a history talk.

Enjohy a ‘mash o nine sorts’ or in Welsh a ‘stwmp naw rhyw’ while we learn how to cook Welsh Rarebit over the fire.

Mash o nine sorts is an ancient Welsh divination meal, served in one pot for the whole community to enjoy. The number nine has significance in Celtic folklore, being a number of completion (3×3). Learn about this and the magical and deep hsitory of Wales with a talk from Peter Rix during the meal.
