Walk for Maggie’s Wirral

Join for our first Walk for Maggie’s Wirral on Friday 12th July 2024

We invite you to join us for a 5 mile circular walk for Maggie’s.

Walk in Memory, Walk in Celebration, Walk for People with Cancer to help raise funds for Maggie’s Wirral.

Event Schedule

Start Zone

  • Check in from 5:30pm outside Wallasey Town Hall on Egremont Promenade
  • Entertainment will be begin at 6pm
  • Walk begins at 6:30pm

Moment of Reflection

  • Make your way down the prom towards Vale Park
  • A moment of reflection in Vale Park from 7pm
  • Entertainment in Vale Park from 7:10pm – 7:40pm

Halfway Point

  • Continue along the prom toward Fort Perch Rock
  • Enter The Mess at the Fort Perch Rock for light refreshments at the halfway point
  • Enjoy entertainment from 8pm-8:30pm

Finish Area

  • Final stretch back towards Wallasey Town Hall
  • Yummy warm scouse pies and drinks at the finish area
  • Enjoy the final celebration entertainment
  • Event to finish approx.. 9:30pm

We encourage individuals/families to try and raise £100 through sponsorship or fundraising.
Full support on setting an online giving page up will be given by our fundraisers and sponsor forms and fundraising packs will also be available.
All fundraising supports Maggie’s Wirral.

Every £ counts
Our building, gardens, weekly programme and team of experts is funded by our local community. Every pound really does make a difference.


  • The approx. 5 miles (8km) route is mostly flat and pedestrian pathway along the waterfront.
  • Adults £20, Child aged 4-16 £10, Children under 3 and Dogs FREE
  • Route is fully accessible
  • Children aged 16 and below are welcome to join with an adult – please register using their adult/guardian’s email address.
  • T-shirt, back signs and goodies bags will be given out at registration
  • Please take care when crossing roads. Although the route mostly follows the Coastal Path there are a few occasions where you will need to crossroads and follow the highway code.
