Helen Day: Why I Haven’t Grown Out Of Ladybird Books

18 August @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Curator of “The Wonderful World of the Ladybird Book Artists”, Helen Day, shares her love of Ladybird.

Helen Day has been researching and collecting Ladybird books for over 20 years. In this talk she shares stories from her own Ladybird childhood, anecdotes about the history of the company and tries to justify why a grown woman can still find endless fascination in vintage Ladybird and all those books which capture so much about the 20th century.

Helen will be speaking at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum on Thursday 18th August, 6-7pm. Entry is free, but booking essential.
