Green Bibliofest: Tree Pledge to the Planet

3 August @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Show our bare tree some love and make it look beautiful while inspiring others to love the environment.

Come and help Pam and Jo grow a tree in the foyer of Birkenhead Central Library. We will have a tree sculpture in our foyer looking rather bare and unloved. We are inviting you to join us and make leaves, birds, flowers and even minibeasts to help our tree look beautiful.

You will be asked to write a pledge to help the environment. It doesn’t have to be a big pledge; lots of little ideas can make a very big difference. Switch off all the lights in your house when you are not home, try leaving the car at home, or use reusable drinking bottles instead of single use plastic bottles. Tie your pledge to the tree so everyone can be inspired to make small changes too.

Pam Sullivan and Jo Gomez are artists, collaborators and big kids at heart so join them for lots of arts and crafts fun!

Please register in advance but you can drop-in anytime during the session

This event is suitable for children aged 4+

Please note:

All children and young people must be accompanied by a responsible adult and remain for the duration of the session.

If parking, please use the car park on Balls Road East opposite the library if possible.
