Green Bibliofest: Botanical Cyanotype Sun Prints

8 August @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

Create beautiful Victorian-style prints from plants and other objects.

Join us as we explore the fascinating world of Victorian cyanotype sun prints. No previous experience, artistic or photographic skill required!

During your 1.5 hr session, you will learn the traditional process of creating beautiful blue and white ‘photographic’ prints using daylight, objects and botanical specimens.

Rachel from Little Vintage Photography will guide you through the steps, from using pre-coated paper, to demonstrating how to coat the paper with light-sensitive chemicals, and exposing your prints to UV light.

Bring your own botanical treasures or small objects so that you can create unique and intricate designs.

This event is for children only, aged 8+ (plus their accompanying adult)

Please note:

All children and young people must be accompanied by a responsible adult and remain for the duration of the session.
