Dee Estuary Beach Clean

Join Welsh Dee Trust, Cheshire Wildlife Trust & Eco Communities as we work towards a clean River Dee with a litter pick at Thurstaston.

Welsh Dee Trust, Cheshire Wildlife Trust and Eco Communities are working together to help keep the river clear of plastic and other rubbish. Please volunteer if you would like to help clean up the beach and feel confident complying with the provisions below.


You must be symptom-free and have no recent contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19. If you feel unwell do not participate. Physical distancing will be exercised at this event.

After registration, you will be emailed a Risk Assessment PDF file. Please read this prior to the clean up.

Litter pickers, bags, hoops, gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided. Please bring other items yourself as follows:

1) Sturdy footwear for walking on uneven terrain

2) Your own drink and snacks

3) Raincoat, hat etc depending on weather

4) Personal medication you may need

Please meet at the Visitor Centre.

Under 18’s are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
