Confessions of a Street Artist – An audience with Paul Curtis Artwork

30 March @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The Secrets of Street Art. How is it created and what goes on behind the scenes? Funny anecdotes with Q+A session.

A multimedia presentation and chat about street art and the murals of Paul Curtis. Hosted by Paul Curtis at Gallagher’s Traditional Bar, Birkenhead. The evening will be laid back and questions will be encouraged.

Paul’s murals can be found all over Liverpool and Wirral. Creating these murals is an interesting process and there are a wealth of anecdotes that come with working in a variety of public places.

The evening will start at 7.30pm. There will be about an hour explaining how Paul became a street artist and a brief look at some of his portfolio and how his work evolved. Practically every mural has some strange story attached to it, it is amazing what is seen when your up a cherry picker!

Then, following a break, there will be 45 minutes about how you do street art, explaining some of the do’s and don’t’s and lessons learnt doing this job.

Both presentations will be backed by a Powerpoint style presentation (think Dave Gorman rather than Dave from accounts), so you can see the artworks and supporting material during the talks.

There will be time to ask questions and have a chat after the talks have finished.

Obviously, with this one being in Birkenhead, I will spend a little more time on the Wirral and Tranmere Rovers murals, but I will be covering murals across all of Merseyside as well.

Come along, have a drink and enjoy a few insights and laughs.
