Colours Exhibition Launch Night

14 July @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Come along and see the launch of Lynn Banks’ new series of paintings, based around “Colours” – our stress management & resilience programme.

Are you interested in learning more about how to manage your stress? Are you looking to support others through their stress management and resilience building journey? Do you find that creativity helps with your wellbeing?

Lynn Banks is a Wirral-based artist who participated in Colours, a stress management and resilience building programme created by the Open Door Charity. We invite you to our launch night, where Lynn will display her series of paintings publicly for the first time.

Join us in listening to how the Colours programme empowered Lynn to reflect on her wellbeing, reconnect with things that are important to her, gave her permission to matter and revitalised her creativity.

Lynn’s talk will be followed up by Annie, who was Lynn’s Colours mentor. Annie will discuss her experience of supporting Lynn, and what it’s like to guide someone through the Colours journey.

5-6pm – Welcome Drink & Viewing

6-7pm – Talk from Lynn and Annie followed by a Q&A

7-8pm – Social Space for Networking

Colours is a 4-week long programme open to anyone who would like some support around managing their stress. The programme intends to build resilience, and incorporates different concepts such as self-care, mindfulness, goal setting and gratitude journaling, as well as discussions around healthy and unhealthy coping strategies.

If you’re interested in signing up to the Colours programme, or if you’d like to know more about becoming a mentor and delivering Colours to others, please come along to hear more. If you have any questions about the exhibition or the Colours programme, please contact Lydia at lydia@opendoorcharity.com

We look forward to seeing you there!
