Bumblebees in the field

This workshop will cover the identification and ecology of bumblebees, focusing on those found in the North West. The day will start with an indoor session followed by finding and identifying bumblebees around Ness Botanic Gardens.
Our Tutor: Tony Parker is the Assistant Curator of Vertebrate Zoology at World Museum, Liverpool. His main interest is British wildlife, with a particular emphasis on recording the natural history of the North West region. Tony is involved in several projects regarding recording and monitoring the distribution of birds, mammals and hymenoptera in the region and is the Aculeate Hymenoptera recorder for Cheshire.
