18 July @ 2:15 pm - 4:00 pm

Celebrate Birkenhead Central Library’s 90th birthday with us!

Come and join us for our 90th celebrations. There will be entertainment from the Rock Choir and the Swing Era band as well as refreshments.

Birkenhead Central Library was opened by King George V on 18th July 1934, shortly after he opened the Queensway Tunnel. It was given Grade II listing in 2017 and has several wonderful architectural features including the stained glass Wilfred Owen Memorial Window and a plaque from the Della Robbia pottery in Birkenhead.
