An evening with Will Kirk The Repairshop

Come join us for a special evening with Will Kirk from The Repair Shop at The Neston Club – Parkgate Clubhouse. Get ready to hear behind-the-scenes stories, ask questions, and maybe even learn a thing or two about restoration! It’s going to be a night full of fun, laughter, and maybe a touch of nostalgia. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to meet one of your favorite TV personalities in person!

The debut book from Repair Shop expert Will Kirk – an inspirational guide to the principles of woodworking, restoration and maintaining items around your home. Caring for the items you love around the home is easier – and more rewarding – than you think. In his first book, The Repair Shop’s resident woodworking expert Will Kirk takes you on a tour of the elements of wood care and restoration, from basic principles and quick fixes around the home to larger projects. Restore shows how simple and joyful wood care can be, from fixing knicks and stains and making small repairs, to household items you can use to help care for your furniture and other wooden objects. The heartwarming stories of The Repair Shop have made it one of the nation’s most beloved TV shows, attracting over 6m viewers per episode. In a society of convenience and trend-led interiors, Will is passionate about showing the sustainable, creative and emotional rewards of woodwork and restoring old furniture. Through engaging with traditional skills, he encourages us to disconnect from our screens and escape the pace of modern life with a practical hobby. Through step-by-step guides and beautiful photography, Restore teaches us how to save pieces of furniture from the scrap heap and appreciate the craftsmanship behind the objects we use every day. The book encourages us all to slow down and appreciate the beauty of woodcraft through accessible projects – which anyone can start working on at home! About the author Will Kirk is a furniture restorer who specialises in woodwork. He has become a fixture on our televisions, and firm fan favourite, since his first appearance on The Repair Shop in 2017. After graduating from university, he set up his own London-based workshop. Will’s first television appearance was on Channel 4’s The French Collection in 2013. Following this, he then appeared on the BBC’s What To Buy and Why in 2015 before starting on The Repair Shop. He co-presented series one of The Travelling Auctioneers with Christina Trevanion in 2022 and was a series regular on BBC Morning Live. Will is an Ambassador of the Heritage Crafts Association and is passionate about supporting young people to pursue careers in woodwork and furniture restoration. He is also an Honorary Liveryman for Worshipful Company of Painters and Stainers.
