Adult Autism Group – Beach walk from West Kirby to Red Rocks
26 February @ 11:15 am - 2:15 pm
Join us for a walk from West Kirby to Red Rocks. We will start at West Kirby train station and head towards the marine lake, then walk along the beach, passing the reedbeds, pools and dunes that make up Red Rocks Nature Reserve. There are excellent views across the Dee Estuary to the North Wales hills beyond. Great photo opportunities for those who would like to bring a camera. The walk there and back is approximately 2.6 miles in total.
Meet outside West Kirby train station, Grange Road at 11.15 am.

If you haven’t been to any MAA events before, look out for Jack, Michaela and Laura wearing sunflower lanyards.
After the walk, there will be the option to go to a cafe for lunch or buy takeaway food. We will decide as a group if and where to eat, depending on food preferences and how busy places are. Those who prefer to bring their own food could find a bench on the prom to sit and eat.
We have checked the tide times and the sea will be out at the time of our visit. We will look at the weather forecast the day before the walk and, if rain or strong winds are expected, we will cancel the outing. Please check our social media pages for updates (see links below) or sign up to our newsletter by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Dogs are allowed on the walk but please keep them on a lead.
Booking is not essential but if you reserve a place via Eventbrite we will know who to look out for. We have a mobile phone which is turned on during outings in case people need to contact us to say they are running late or can not find the group. If you would like the number, please send us an email to email@example.com
If you are able to take a lateral flow test before attending this event, we would greatly appreciate your help in trying to keep our members and volunteers safe.
Plan your journey on the Merseytravel website:
If you are travelling by bus on the 22, 80, 81 or 437, please be aware that Bridge Road is closed until 29th April and so these buses will not be stopping in front of the train station on Grange Road as usual. Instead the nearest stop is at the turning circle on Orrysdale Road. For more details see:
